No More Curses
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” (Galatians 3: 13)
What is the curse of the law?
It is the consequence of breaking God’s commandments as written in Deuteronomy 28. These curses affect different areas of our lives including finances, work, family relationships, and health. They are either a result of a person’s sins or inherited curses from parents and grandparents who sinned.
The only way to escape these curses is to believe that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. On the cross, the Lord was not only forgiving our sins, but also carrying our curses. Indeed, He redeemed us from all curses!
Some curses are a direct outcome of sorcery practiced by others; as in the story of Balaam. He was hired by Balak to curse God’s people using his magic. Thus, we have to believe that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law and protected us from sorcery and divination. The Lord also protects us from evil coming as a result of prayers addressed to other gods (evil spirits). Actually, misdirected prayers can move evil spirits to bring curses upon our lives.
“For there is no sorcery against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel” (Numbers 23: 23). The reason behind that is that the Lord did not observe iniquity in Jacob due to forgiveness as the people took cover in the blood of sacrifices as they signified forgiveness. Thus, Balaam could not lay a curse on the people of God.
Therefore, we proclaim our faith that, in Jesus name, no generational curses will befall us. Even if there are curses in your family in the form of sicknesses, thefts, or lies, by depending on the Word you and your children will escape the curses. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8: 32). The fundamental teaching that every believer should comprehend is that as the Lord forgave our sins, he also lifted up the curses regardless of their source. They could be due to our mistakes, involvement in sorcery or inherited from our parents. Only by faith, can we break these curses. Do not live in fear, but proclaim your faith that what has happened to your parents will not happen to you!
Satan will try to bring curses on our lives any way he can. Therefore we have to fight back by quoting Bible verses and continuously proclaiming that, on the cross, Jesus Christ has redeemed us from all curses. Our faith in the work of the precious blood of Jesus has transformed us into the new covenant which entails protection from curses.
We are blessed not cursed because of the precious blood. Christ has redeemed us from all curses. Proclaim your faith in this truth and in the power of the name of Jesus which is above all other names thus stopping all satanic activities against our lives. Lift your arm and rebuke any bad thoughts, bad dreams, negative talk that you might have heard. Proclaim your faith that you have been redeemed from all curses and that those who contend against you shall be like nothing like a non-existent thing.
“Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you” (Deuteronomy 23: 5). Do not be passive to avoid living in defeat as is written; “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4: 6). If you are passive, Satan will want to claim more areas in your life, but the Lord has given us the authority to trample over serpents and scorpions and nothing harms us.
Blessings not curses shall prevail in Jesus name
