Kings in the Kingdom of God
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Rev.1: 5-6). In the New Testament, the believer is a king against sin, Satan, and circumstances. A King who will reign with the Lord in the Millennia
A King in my struggles against Satan
“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, (Jesus Christ.)”(Ro. 5:17) and also “For sin shall not have dominion over you” (Ro. 6:14). Adam’s offense gave sin the right to dominate the human race. However, the authority of sin is broken when we believe in Jesus. We are righteous in the eyes of the heavenly Father and will reign in this life through the Lord Jesus. Refuse any dominion of sin and confess the truth that the dominion of sin and its authority have already been broken on the cross and by the cleansing and washing of the precious blood.
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death” (Ro. 8:2) the law of sin enslaves man, but the law of the spirit makes us stronger than sin and enables us to live as rulers over sin.
Let this be your proclamation: I am a victorious king; more than a conqueror!!
A king in facing Life’s circumstances
“Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also” (Gen. 1:16). The greater light is the sun which resembles the Lord who uses us the lesser light like the moon reflecting the light of the Lord and thus lighting up the night of this world.
“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth’” (Gen. 1:26) Our relationship with the Lord enables us to have control over our circumstances making them all work together for our benefit. By prayer, we move mountains, we are always above, and we walk from strength to strength. “And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail.”(Deuteronomy 28:13). We will lead and not be lead. “The upright shall have dominion over them” (Psalm 49:14). By prayer we remove kings and set up kings!!
A King with the Lord in Millennium
“And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth’” (Revelation 5:9, 10) In the end, we will reign with the Lord on earth. He also says, “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations” (Revelation 2:26). This will be fulfilled in the Millennium.
A King against Satan
Satan cannot command us. We are the ones to rebuke him forcing him to flee away from us. “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1). You should see yourself as a king in Christ and Satan has to obey you.
“Where the word of a king is, there is power” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). In the spirit realm, you have authority over the evil spirits including spirits of sickness, uncleanness, strife, and delusion “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
“And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). In Christ Jesus, we are seated above all powers and principalities. Resist the devil as the Lord Jesus did on the Mount of temptation, command him, as a king using the Word of God, to go away!
Be a king: before sin and it will not rule over you !
Be a king: by your prayer move mountains!
Proclaim your authority over Satan, resist him and he will flee!
Do not allow him to scare you!
Rest assured that in the end, you will reign with the Lord on the earth!
