And carried them all the days

The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ (Deut. 1:30, 31).  Rest assured; He will never leave you nor forsake you, for He said: “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5).  His fatherly love is clearly shown in this verse: “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Is. 46:4). Because of His love for us, He will carry us in times of danger, from childhood unto old age.

Proclamation: the Lord will continue to carry me all the days of my life even unto gray hairs.

“Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; … He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.” (Is. 40:10, 11). Have faith that our mighty God delivers from slavery, worry, disappointment, and sickness.  With His strong arm, He tears down strongholds. He also, reveals himself as a loving shepherd who feeds the flock and gathers them in his bosom.  This closeness to the Lord protects our minds from succumbing to thoughts that affected the older son whose mindset was not in harmony with his father.  You can be like John who regarded himself as, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 21:20).  He was leaning on Jesus’ chest; which is a sign of love.  The Holy Spirit communicate to us the love of the Lord thus, healing us from any feeling of rejection and enabling us to lavish this love on anyone deprived of it.

“You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself” (Ex. 19:4) You have to understand what the Lord has done to Satan, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them” (Col. 2:15) Not only did the cross provide forgiveness from sin and eternal life, but also crushed and disarmed Satan and his powers of their weapons.

We no longer live in slavery, but enjoy total freedom.  We can enjoy full fellowship with the Lord: praising, singing, rejoicing, and serving Him.

The eagle stands for swiftness and crossing over high mountains: The Lord carries us on eagles’ wings to be His servants.  He leads us to spiritual meetings to praise and worship Him, and rejoice in His presence!!

“In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them and carried them all the days of old” (Is. 63:9). The Lord sends His angels to save us in times of danger, influencing others’ thoughts towards us.  Trust that though evil spirits are swaying others against us, there are angels that protect and rescue us.  The Lord is afflicted for our affliction, moved by our pain, and has compassion on us. Because of His love for us, He delivers us from bondage; whether inherited or newly acquired as a result of our sins. He lifts us, carries us, and makes the mountains a leveled path to walk on.  He enables us to walk through the waters; the strong and violent waters.

Proclamation: The Lord released me from bondage, lifted me up, and carried me.  Just as He carried me in the past He will continue to do the same me in the future. His methods of deliverance are unlimited: He might make me cross the sea as He did with His people during the time of Moses, or might make the sea flee so that His people cross the Jordan, as he did during the time of Joshua. “The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back.” (Ps. 114:3)

Commit your life to the Lord to feel His love and warmth, and experience His protection, and rescue.  Fear will disappear and you will be confident that He walks before you, makes the crooked places straight, and gives you beauty for ashes.  Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!!!
